Transforming the digital experience of a 60-year-old bank
Challenge
The Banese Bank website was outdated and had functional flaws, not meeting the expectations of modern users. Additionally, there was an opportunity to revitalize the brand to celebrate the bank's 60th anniversary, aligning the digital experience with the rich culture of the Northeast.
Goal
Modernize the website's interface and usability, reflecting the bank's regional identity and increasing user satisfaction and retention.
Research and Discoveries
Research methods
We conduct interviews with users to understand their needs and expectations, in addition to mapping existing flows and carrying out a competitive analysis to identify good practices and opportunities for differentiation.
Key findings
Users wanted more intuitive navigation, quick access to account and service information, and a look and feel that reflected local culture. We also noticed that the competition was investing in modern, responsive digital experiences.
Design Process
Steps taken during the project
BRAINSTORMING AND IDEATION We held brainstorming sessions with the team to generate ideas on how to incorporate regional elements and improve usability. WIREFRAMES AND PROTOTYPES We developed low-fidelity wireframes to structure the new website experience, followed by interactive prototypes in Figma to validate flows and interactions. USABILITY TESTS We test the prototypes with real users, collecting feedback on the site's navigation and aesthetics. This helped us iterate and refine the design to better meet users' needs.
